Prep basketball roundup: Thursday's action

BOYNTON-MOTON 77, CLAREMORE CHRISTIAN 39 — Sherri Lang and Breanna Hutchinson were too much for Claremore Christian in the opening round of the Class B, Area III playoffs Thursday night at the Boynton-Moton gym.

Lang scored a game-high 31 points and Hutchinson added 27 as the Lady Cardinals (17-6) advance to Saturday’s 6:30 p.m. game against Summit Christian. Shawanda Lang added 11 for Boynton. The Boynton-Moton-Claremore Christian boys play tonight at 8.

Ally Warren led Claremore Christian with 21 points. The Lady Cardinals led 34-15 at halftime.

WEBBERS FALLS 61, SCHULTER 43 — Three Lady Warriors (7-15) scored 10 points each as they won their first game in the Class B, Area III playoff game at the Webbers Falls gym.

Emily James, Ramie toddy and Katie Smith powered Webbers Falls to the victory.

Webbers Falls plays McCurtain at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.



MCCURTAIN 64, BRAGGS 21 — Brittany Willis scored 12 points, but the Lady Wildcats couldn’t overcome McCurtain in the Class B, Area III playoff opener at the Webbers Falls gym.

Rebekah Shimp led McCurtain with 18 points.
