CONNORS 79, SEMINOLE 49 — Jumping out to a 42-25 lead, the Cowboys rolled past Seminole State in Region II action and improve to 11-2 for the season.
Five Cowboys scored in double figures, led by C.J. Washington’s 18 points. Justin Butler had 15, while Stephon Weaver, Ray Jones and Orlando Brown scored 11 each.
Daunte Williams and Lindsey Hughey led Seminole with 14 points each.
Connors returns to action on Thursday at Melvin Self Field House against Murray State at 8 p.m.
Women
CONNORS 79, SEMINOLE 70 — Gabrielle Rosiji dominated the scoring with a game-high 22 points as the Cowgirls remain unbeaten after 13 games this season. She was one of four players to score in double figures.
Ricshanda Bickham had 13, while Taylor Mumphrey and Kameisha Johnson added 11 each. Connors led 35-31 at halftime.
Sierra Barnhart had 14 points for Seminole and Jasmine Thompson added 12.
The Cowgirls play Murray State at Melvin Self Field House on Thursday at 6 p.m.
