PHOENIX, Ariz. — Northeastern State’s Josh Boswell carded an even-par 216 to make his best showing as a RiverHawk with a 10th place finish at the Grand Canyon Fall Invitational here Tuesday afternoon.
The RiverHawks as a team finished in sixth place, as CSU-San Bernardino claimed the title with a 22 shot victory over second-place Point Loma Nazarene, CSU-Monterey Bay, Western New Mexico and St. Mary’s University round out the top five.
Point Loma Nazarene’s Sam Cyr claimed the medalist honors with a staggering 15-under par performance.
For Northeastern State, freshman Blake Walker continued to play well with rounds of 74, 74 and 73 to finish in a tie for 23rd, Sam Powell tied for 26th after rounds of 71, 75 and 76, Brady Wood tied for 40th with rounds of 74, 76 and 77, Jeff Cox rounded out the RiverHawks field with rounds of 80, 73 and 75 to finish tied for 44th.
The RiverHawks will take part in the Territory Classic in Duncan on Monday and Tuesday for their final tournament of the fall season.
