TULSA (AP) — A Houston-based law firm says Tulsa football coach Todd Graham will be named in a wrongful death lawsuit in Texas.
Lanier Law Firm says in a news release that Graham, Rice University and others will be sued by the parents of Dale Lloyd II.
Lloyd was a football player at Rice and Graham the head coach when Lloyd collapsed and died after a conditioning workout Sept. 24, 2006.
TU spokesman Don Tomkalski says Graham will have no comment on legal matters.
A picture of Lloyd has hung in Graham’s office since he returned to coach at Tulsa in 2007.
