MORRIS — Danielle Riddle’s one-out single in the top of the seventh inning scored Paige Boling and lifted the Hilldale Hornets to a 5-4 victory over Haskell and win the rescheduled Morris Tournament on Wednesday.
The tournament had been postponed by rain earlier this month.
Hilldale, 15-3, for the season, lost the first game 4-1 to Haskell and came back to beat Porter 8-0, Morris 4-1 and the Lady Haymakers 6-3 before the finale.
Julana Shrum won two games and lost one and Riddle won two. Shrum also had three hits, including two doubles and a single, in the win over Porter and she added two hits in the 6-3 win over Haskell.
Boling had seven hits, including two doubles in the win over Porter. Riddle had two hits each against Porter and Morris.
Hilldale plays at Muldrow at 5 p.m. today.
