OKTAHA – Racing at Outlaw Motor Speedway lost out to a rain shower Friday night.
All of the heat races on the weekly show were completed before the heavy shower. Only the features were left on the program. Those races will be run as part of next week’s program.
Aside from the rain, the only real excitement on the program came in the first Pure Stock head when Checotah’s Greg Carmack joined the track’s roll-over club when he flipped his racer in front of the grandstands after coming into contact with a car driven by Randi Goines, Chouteau. Hanging upside down, he freed himself from his seat restrains and crawled from his car uninjured, waiving to a crowd of fans who had left their seats and rushed to the fence.
His car, landing on its top, was severely damaged, ending his night of racing. Track officials had to repair a divot caused by the accident.
