ROLAND — Alyssa Wagner slugged her seventh home run of the season — a three-run blast in the third inning — to help the Rougherettes beat Roland 12-0 in the second game of a three-way slowpitch softball skirmish at Roland’s diamond on Tuesday.
MHS lost 11-3 to Pocola in the first game. The Rougherettes are 16-4 for the season.
In the win over Roland, Chelsey Etchison had a three-run double as part of her two hits. Jordan Clark and Madison Reed each had two hits. Skylar Johnson drove in two runs. Sarah Moschak (9-0) was the winning pitcher.
Wagner (7-4), the losing pitcher in the first game, hit a solo home run in the second inning. Clark and Johnson drove in runs in the game.
Pocola scored eight runs in the fourth inning.
“We didn’t get off the bus in the first game,” MHS coach Keith Coleman said. “We played pretty good in the second game. We’ve got to come up with some way to start better in these first games.”
