DURANT — Connors State reached the championship of the Eastern Softball Tournament, but will have to wait until March 12 to play the title game.
Due to rain, the college championship game against Seminole was postponed until March 12 and will be played in Warner as part of a tripleheader.
Connors earned the spot in the championship after beating Northeast Texas, 2-1, and whipping Eastern, 4-2, on Sunday. Connors, 8-5 overall, is 5-0 in the tournament.
Robyn Murton homered to break a 1-1 tie in the sixth, and winning pitcher Anna Scherpenfeel struck out seven in the victory over Northeast Texas.
In the win against Eastern, winning pitcher Amanda Tanner allowed only three hits and received help at the plate from Sarah Harvey, Beth Everett and herself. Harvey was 3 for 4, Everett and Tanner both went 2 for 4.
