GREEN BAY, Wis. — Jonathon VanDam of Kalamazoo, Mich., uncle of Bassmaster Elite Series veteran Kevin Van Dam, bested 97 of the best bass anglers in the world with a four-day catch of smallmouth bass weighing 79 pounds, 2 ounces to win the Green Bay Challenge on Sunday.
Tommy Biffle of Wagoner slipped from fifth to eighth on the final day with 11-8, his lowest weight of the four days. He finished with 58-15.
