Calendar
The outdoor calendar runs every Friday. Items should be submitted by fax (918) 684 – 2865, email at sports@muskogeephoenix.com or submitted in writing to the Phoenix at 214 Wall Street during business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Items must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday for inclusion in the next calendar.

Free fishing clinics at Jenks Aquarium from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the Jenks Casting Pond through July.

NORTHEAST
Fort Gibson: June 26. Elevation normal, water 85 and clear. Largemouth bass good on plastic worms and Biffle Bugs at 5-20 feet. White bass good on rooster tails and small crankbaits at 5-10 feet on the windy points. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by Rick Stafford in Wagoner.
Grand: June 19. Elevation normal, water 82. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits. White bass good on rooster tails around windy swept points. Catfish excellent on fresh cut bait above Sailboat Bridge. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 10-15 feet under docks. Paddlefish slow. Hudson: June 25. Elevation normal. Largemouth bass good on plastic baits early and late. Channel and blue catfish good on juglines baited with cut bait. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by Steve Loveland, game warden stationed in Rogers and Mayes counties.
Keystone: June 25. Elevation 1/2 foot above normal, water 80. White bass fair trolling and off points. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by Karlin Bailey, game warden stationed in Creek County.
Lower Illinois: June 26. Elevation normal, water 46 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on topwater lures all along the river. White bass fair on jigs at 1-2 feet all along the river. Striped bass fair on jigs at 1-3 feet all along the river. Channel catfish excellent on cut bait on bottom all along the river. Crappie fair on jigs at 1-3 feet all along the river. Trout excellent fly-fishing the surface, on rooster tails at 1-2 feet and on Power Bait on bottom from the dam to Gore Landing. Report submitted by D. Tracy, Town of Gore.
Tenkiller: June 25. Elevation 1 foot below normal, water low 80s and clear. Largemouth bass fair on topwater lures early and spinnerbaits or crankbaits later. Catfish fair on flip-flops baited with cut bait at 20-40 feet. Crappie fair on minnows at 15-20 feet around docks or brush. Sunfish good on nightcrawlers around docks or in the back of coves. Report submitted by Monte Brooks, Cookson Village Resort.
Webbers Falls: June 25. Elevation normal, water murky. Largemouth bass fair on buzz baits and crankbaits along riprap, brush structure and bridges. Catfish good on fresh cut bait and liver along mudflats and drifting on bottom. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs along brush structure and bridges. Report submitted by Lark Wilson, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.
SOUTHEAST
Eufaula: June 24. Elevation one foot below normal, water clear. Largemouth bass fair on Carolina rigs around deep points and on crankbaits and spinnerbaits along rocky areas. White bass fair on topwater lures along flats early and trolling the flats. Blue catfish fair on fresh shad drifting the shallow flats and rocky areas. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs under bridges and standing timber. Report submitted by Ed Rodebush, game warden stationed in McIntosh County.
Robert S. Kerr: June 25. Largemouth and spotted bass good on topwater lures, spinnerbaits and buzz baits and good on swim baits and crankbaits at 2-10 feet around banks and grass beds. White bass fair on minnows under bridges. Channel and blue catfish excellent on trotlines and juglines baited with cut bait in 12-20 feet close to creek and river channels. Flathead catfish good on live bait 9-14 feet. Report submitted by Allen Couch, game warden stationed in Haskell County.
