3A REGIONALS AT METRO CHRISTIAN — Vian ended Haskell’s season by the score 12-2 in six innings after jumping out to an early lead with four runs in the first. The Haymakers’ Britt Williams answered back in the top of the second with a lead-off home run, his first of the year.
Williams and Austin Raska both had two hits each for Haskell (16-13). Dillon Dobbins (5-3) was the losing pitcher throwing five innings, scattering seven hits and striking out three.
Jon Andrews (5-2) picked up the complete-game victory against Haskell.
The Wolverines then lost to Metro Christian by the score 13-6, ending their season.
Vian gave up six runs in the sixth and A.J. Rodriguez (2-3) took the loss.
3A REGIONALS AT SALINA — Caney Valley scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to end Sequoyah’s season with a 14-13 setback. Both of Sequoyah’s regional losses came to Caney Valley, the first a 10-0 setback.
Eric Kirkpatrick’s three-run home run put Sequoyah up 9-8. He and Karter Woodruff had three hits each and Kirkpatrick tallied six RBIs. Ryan Helsley was the losing pitcher throwing all seven innings.
