Five Bowl participants are featured on the 2013 Tulsa Golden Hurricane football schedule, as it was announced today. Tulsa will face Bowling Green (Military Bowl), Oklahoma (Cotton Bowl), Iowa State (Liberty Bowl), Rice (Armed Forces Bowl) and East Carolina (New Orleans Bowl).
The Hurricane will open the season with four consecutive non-conference games, including the season opener at Bowling Green on Aug. 31. A trip to Norman and OU on Sept. 14 is part of that schedule, as is a Liberty Bowl rematch with Iowa State.
The Conference USA slate includes newcomers Texas-San Antonio and former TU offensive coordinator Larry Coker, Lousiana Tech and North Texas.
