CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — Central Oklahoma’s Raelynn Farthing has been named to the National Golf Coaches Association NCAA Division II All-American Scholar Team, it was announced Wednesday by the NGCA.
Student-athletes are required to have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and must have competed in at least 66 percent of the team’s regularly-scheduled competitive rounds during the year to be eligible for the elite team.
A sophomore chemistry major from Hilldale High School, Farthing earned Lone Star Conference Academic Player of the Year honors in 2008-09 in addition to making the second-team All-LSC squad.
Farthing finished the year with a 79.3 scoring average, winning one tournament title and placing in the top-15 in eight other events.
