Broken Bow 42, Fort Gibson 7
BROKEN BOW — It was all Broken Bow as Fort Gibson closed the season at 3-7 and 1-6 in District 4A-4.
Broken Bow led 28-7 at the half. Fort Gibson scored in the second quarter when Andrew Miller hauled in a 97-yard scoring strike from Andrew Arnold.
The Tigers finished with 189 total yards.
Sequoyah 35, Colcord 7
COLCORD — Class 2A No. 3 Sequoyah (10-0, 7-0 2A-8) wrapped up a perfect district campaign and its fifth straight winning season, waking up after being tied at 7 through one quarter.
Colcord finished at 7-3, 5-2.
The Indians scored 21 in the second quarter to put the game out of reach. Ryan Mouse scored on runs of 16 and 15 yards while Ryker Salazar scored on a 3-yard run and a 1-yard run.
Justin Lepley’s 38-yard TD finished the scoring. Chris Littlehead was 5-of-5 on extra points.
Sequoyah will play host to Sperry in the first round of the playoffs next Friday.
Vian 56, Chouteau 12
CHOUTEAU — Rowdy Simon rushed for 159 yards on 15 carries, scoring twice as the Wolverines (9-1, 6-1) finished second in District 2A-8.
Colby Ross scored two touchdowns — a 14-yard reception from quarterback Landon Decker and a 19-yard run — both in the second quarter. Evin Knight also had two TDs on runs of 13 and 8 yards.
Vian’s likely first-round opponent next week at home will be Pawhuska.
Vian led 35-0 at the half over Chouteau (1-9, 0-9).
Colby Ross had two interceptions for the Wolverines’ defense.
Porter 46, Oaks 0
OAKS — Marcus Scarborough ran for two touchdowns and threw for another and Marcus Bruner scored two touchdowns as No. 4 Porter (10-0, 8-0 B-4) claimed its first-ever undefeated season with a shutout of Oaks on the road.
Porter had a 32-point second quarter to ice the game, leading 40-0 at the half.
Eric Ridgway rushed six times for 101 yards and a touchdown, including a 90-yard run. Scarborough rushed nine times for 97 yards with a 36-yard first quarter run and 1-yard run in the second quarter.
Bruner had a 25-yard reception from Scarborough and a 60-yard interception return.
The Pirates play host to Weleetka next Friday.
Checotah 50, Hugo 13
HUGO — The Wildcats roar into the playoffs by ripping the Buffaloes in the District 3A-4 and regular season finale at Hugo’s stadium on Friday night.
Now 8-2 overall and finishing 5-2 in district, Checotah plays at Berryhill (8-2) in the first round of the playoffs next Friday. Berryhill is the 3A-3 runner-up and Checotah is third in 3A-4.
The Wildcats’ win evens the series at 7-7 and Checotah has now clinched back-to-back playoff berths for the first time since 1994-95.
Sallisaw Central 42, Warner 7
WARNER — Central Sallisaw (9-1, 8-1) wrapped up the regular season in a big way over the Eagles, who got their only touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 75-yard kickoff return by Ray King. Central got a pair of touchdowns by Ryan Rogers on runs of 5 and 45 yards.
Chandler 35, Eufaula 14
EUFAULA — Chandler (6-4, 6-1 District 2A-5) gave Eufaula (2-8, 2-5) its first losing season since 1998. Ironheads quarterback Daniel Salters finished the game 8-of-13 for 82 yards and a touchdown pass to Hayden Walch.
Talihina 34, Porum 0
PORUM — Class A No. 5 Talihina (10-0, 9-0 A-6) shut out Porum (1-9, 0-9) to finish a sweep of regular-season play.
Tulsa East Central 46, Tahlequah 6
TAHLEQUAH — Class 5A No. 5 Tulsa East Central (9-1, 7-0 5A-4) scored the first 33 points before halftime and Tahlequah (2-8, 1-6) could not recover, falling at home for the fourth time this season.
Zack Thornton had a 1-yard TD toss to Colin Downs with 2:50 left in the third quarter for Tahlequah’s only score.
Fairland 38, Okay 6
OKAY — Colton Harris had a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown for the losing Mustangs (0-10, 0-9 A-8).
Hominy 35, Haskell 12
HOMINY — Haskell (2-8, 2-7 in A-7) trailed 35-0 before finishing with a little flurry.
Jordan Pendergraft threw for a touchdown and ran for another. His 20-yard pass went to Chiante Jackson and he finished the game’s scoring with a 9-yard run.
Hominy ends the regular season at 6-4, 6-3 in district.
Keys 38, Westville 0
PARK HILL — Kylar Welch had four touchdowns, two rushing, one a 30-yard reception and another a 39-yard interception return for the Cougars, who finish at 5-5, 3-4 in 2A-8. Taylor Swanson had five sacks and 12 total tackles. Westville ends at 2-8, 1-7.
