CREAMED PEAS WITH HAM

CREAMED PEAS WITH HAM

2 tablespoons butter
4 slices Hormel Cure 81® Sliced Ham, diced medium
1 red onion, sliced thin
2/3 cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
1 pound frozen peas

Melt butter in a large skillet.
Add ham and cook over medium heat about five minutes until browned.
Add onion and cook until soft.
Add cream, salt and pepper.

Bring to a simmer and cook until cream begins to thicken, about two to five minutes.
Stir in peas, cover and cook until peas are tender, about five minutes.
Delicious.
