CUSHAW (SQUASH) PIE
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons nutmeg
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 can evaporated milk
3 eggs
2 1/2 cups cooked, mashed squash
Cut squash into pieces and boil in water.
Drain.
Mix all ingredients until runny.
Taste the mixture to make sure it is sweet enough.
If not, add more sugar to taste.
Pour into a ready-made pie crust and bake at 350° until done.
