Kansas guard and Sequoyah graduate Angel Goodrich, Oklahoma’s Aaryn Ellenberg and Oklahoma State’s Toni Young were selected Tuesday to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-Region 5 Team, making them eligible for the Division I All-America Team.
Goodrich has averaged 14.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.9 assists for the Lady Jayhawks this season.
Ellenberg was the Sooners’ leading scorer for a second straight season, averaging 18.5 points and Young averaged a double-double (15.9 points, 10.1 rebounds).
A selection committee will choose the 10-member WBCA Division I Coaches’ All-America Team from 52 candidates across eight regions.
Other all-region nominees include Baylor’s Britney Griner and Odyssey Sims, Iowa State’s Hallie Christofferson and Kansas State’s Brittany Chambers
