Sooners Day has changes

— NORMAN —  Meet the Sooners Day has been set for Saturday, Aug. 4 at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The event will allow children ages 14 and under accompanied by an adult to submit one item for an autograph. Accompanying adults will not be permitted to submit items.

OU officials say the limitations are in place due to the event falling on Saturday for the second consecutive year, a decision brought on by summer school dates.

A line for the general public will form at Gate 5 beginning at 7 a.m. The line will flow under the Asp Avenue Parking Facility on the west side of the stadium to keep fans out of the sun.
