BACONE 2-4, TEXAS WESLEYAN 5-2 – The Bacone Warriors scored single runs in the sixth and seventh innings to beat Texas Wesleyan in the second game of the doubleheader, salvaging a split at Warrior Field on Saturday after dropping the opener 5-2.

TRUMAN ST. 12, NSU 11 – The Northeastern State baseball team fell to 3-3 after falling to Truman State on Saturday.

OU 3, TAMU-CORPUS 1 – The University of Oklahoma baseball team rattled off its eighth straight victory to begin the 2013 season, knocking off Texas A&M Corpus Christi in the second game of the 2013 Kleberg Bank College Classic for both squads Saturday.

OSU 11-6, NJIT 1-3 – Oklahoma State extended its winning streak to four games with its second-straight doubleheader sweep Saturday as the Cowboys knocked off New Jersey Institute of Technology, 11-1 and 6-3, at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.

ARKANSAS 5, EVANSVILLE 2 – Tyler Spoon broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth inning with a grand slam over the seats in left field to lift the No. 1 Arkansas baseball team to a victory over Evansville on Saturday in Fayetteville. Ark..



Softball

UCLA 5, OSU 1 – The Oklahoma State softball team lost 5-1 UCLA on Saturday at the Mary Nutter Classic in Palm Springs, Calif.

NSU TAKES TWO – Northeastern State run-ruled Bacone 9-0 in five innings and eased past William Jewell 4-3 on Saturday in Tahlequah.

Bacone fell to William Jewell 11-2 in the middle game of the day.

TULSA IN TEXAS TITLE GAME – The Tulsa softball team defeated Lamar 11-3 before dispatching Utah State in bracket play, 3-0, to advance to the championship game of the Texas Invitational. The Golden Hurricane (11-3) will face No. 6 Texas in a 10 a.m. tilt on Sunday.
