THE PEOPLE SPEAK – Voters have choice of two Romneys

— Some of my friends are not fans of Obama and say rude things about him. I assume they will vote for Mitt Romney. But which Romney?

The old one who said in 2002, “I will preserve and protect a woman’s right to choose”, or the current Romney who opposes abortion except “in case of rape, incest or life endangerment of the mother” The Romney who voted for the Brady Act to restrict some gun sales or the current Romney who touts the NRA position.

The old Romney who said “The Democratic stimulus will accelerate the timing of the start of the recovery” or the current Romney who said “The stimulus package is a failure.” The auto bailout, when Romney first said “Let Detroit go bankrupt” to the current Romney “The bailout, It was my idea.”

On health care reform, in 2007 Romney said “The Massachusetts plan will be a model for the nation” to currently saying “Such plans should be left to the states.”

Maybe he feels he should say whatever he needs to say to get elected, but with mind changes like the above who knows what he really would try to do if elected.
