THE PEOPLE SPEAK – Wright is honest, hard-working man

— I was very pleased to read the article clearing our County Commissioner, Stephen Wright, of the charges levied against him by his opponents in the upcoming election. Everyone who knows Steve knows that he is an honest man, and that the charges against him were trumped up to try and sway the election.

Steve and I grew up together in Possum Hollar down by Porum, OK. He is my younger cousin, so I have known him his entire life. He has always worked hard and taken care of his family in an honest and respectable manner. Steve is one of those people that never passes up a person in need. He would give you the shirt off his back and never expect anything in return.

I am very proud to call this man not only my cousin, but my friend. Muskogee County will do well to re-elect Stephen Wright as District 2 County Commissioner.
