THE PEOPLE SPEAK – Wake up, America; believe God’s word

Has God taken his hand off of America? Let’s look at all that has happened in America since we decided we didn’t need God, that we could do it by ourselves. Has that worked? Fires, earthquakes, tornadoes, and drought are occurring more frequently. There are no words to ease the pain of the school shootings and other recent violence. My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones in Newtown, Conn., and other places.

Let’s remember that God is a merciful God and if we, the Christians, would call upon him, repent, and turn from our wicked ways that God will answer our call for help and heal our land. It’s a shame that we spend hours talking about the school shootings, but say nothing about the millions of babies that we have allowed to be murdered. Does God approve?

The time has come when we need to believe that God does not want anyone to perish, but that all would come to repentance. We have terrific power in the name of Jesus. Let’s wake up America, and not be afraid to believe God’s word, and see what he can do.
