This is a letter of support for Charles Pearson.
I must say next that we are not related in any way, even though we have the same last name. I do, however, know Charles both publicly and privately.
I have personally had to call the sheriff’s office and file reports over the last several months. The first was a vicious dog attack, followed by ID theft involving some low-life stealing the identity of my 91-year-old mother-in-law, and lastly by a theft of a ladder. In every case, the sheriff’s deputies that responded were very professional, courteous, thorough, concerned and understanding. None of them displayed an overbearing, macho image that some have endured when dealing with a minute percentage of law enforcement. Charles would never allow such displays.
I know Charles has a huge plate of issues, both public and private, that he is dealing with. I also know that he doesn’t whine and cry about dealing with any of those issues. He never sticks his head in the sand and tries to hide from anything. He faces everything head up and bull strong!
My wife and I have lived in many places in this great country. We have never seen an elected official that is as honest, dedicated and committed as Charles is. As I said in his last election, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Please allow Charles to continue to improve his department as he has done since he started 12 years ago. I know he has plans that will dramatically improve both the city and county.
To use a saying from old western novels, “He’s a man to ride the river with.”
If you read this, Charles, rethink the fatty steak. LOL.
