I’ve lived here for only 13 years and what I’ve seen is a city destroying itself from the inside out. History is being preserved in cities all across the country and in other places around the world. Buildings standing 100-plus years are preserved for grandkids and visitors that come to their cities. Muskogee, if going in the same direction, will show them books with pictures of how our city looked. It’s time for the city to take a stand.
To make these derelicts that own these beautiful buildings 100-plus years old fix them and make them maintain them for the future of this city. They bought the buildings, it’s up to the city to make them keep the buildings in good shape or sell them to someone that will. If we don’t do something our city will look like one big parking lot. So get busy and make it happen you’ll have the people behind you all the way.
