THE PEOPLE SPEAK – Take a stand: Say no to Obamacare

— Our country, the greatest country in the world, where we are so proud of the red, white and blue, the country where freedom is our legacy, is now falling apart. We have Democrats against Republicans, envy instead of encouragement, selfishness instead of reasoning, hatred instead of caring, when will it stop?

When I was a child, I remember my daddy talking about politics. He said the Democrats in Washington were smart. Well what happened? We’ve all heard Nancy Pelosi say, let’s pass President Obama’s health care bill into law so we can find out what it says. Do you think that is smart? I call it stupid! Now we have a law that will cost Americans more taxes and less jobs than ever before. Even President Obama could not make ends meet if his paychecks were as little as most of our country’s citizens. Demanding health insurance when people can’t put food on the table is totally unbelievable. Where is the freedom in that demand?

I also remember that daddy said Hitler totally ruled his country and his people with an iron fist. Our leaders seem to want that same control. I wonder if our country has forgotten that America is based on democracy. Does the Bill of Rights mean anything to our president or Congress? Do you love our country? Then take a stand and tell our Congress no to Obamacare.
