Local Red Cross needs your help

The Muskogee chapter of the American Red Cross needs help.

The charity has helped scores of families in the past six months. During the past six months, the chapter has provided nearly $34,000 in financial assistance to families that have survived 65 disasters in a three-county area. The chapter needs funds to help more families.

“We get some money from United Way, but we really rely a lot on local contributions,” said Tracy Blair, a member of the American Red Cross advisory board in Muskogee.
