THANK YOU, 11.27.10

I WOULD LIKE to say thank you to a Muskogee County Sheriff’s Deputy;  Deputy Chandler stopped to check on me as I sat on the side of Oklahoma 2 on Monday around 7:25 a.m. I had lost a contact and had pulled over with my flashers flashing and he stopped to check on my well being. So, to Deputy Chandler I say thank you so much sir and may God bless you and yours.

THE 4TH ANNUAL “Unity in the Community” was a huge success this year. We were able to provide food and clothing to over 100 people this year. We would like to give a special thanks to Westside Church of Christ, 18th and Dennison Church of Christ, Berean Seventh Day Adventist Church, First Presbyterian Church, and Braum’s for their generous donations. We want to thank everyone in the community that donated food, clothing, or volunteered. We also want to thank the Muskogee public high school students for providing entertainment. May God bless you all!

PROVIDING CARE to a person who is terminally ill can be a tough job and caregivers seldom recognize the meaningful impact of their selfless contributions. SolAmor Hospice would like to take a moment to recognize how much caregivers donate of themselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually to provide care to those in need.  Thank you caregivers!

We would like to thank a few locals that made an effort to appreciate and celebrate November as National Caregiver Month.  The following businesses and individuals donated their time and services: In Joy massage and Spa to go, Tammi Sawyer; Touch of Health Massage, Deborah Letts; 15th Street Salon, Teresa Wofford; Virgil’s Beauty College; Okmulgee Academy of Cosmetology; and Broken Arrow Beauty College.

Hospice is a mission that you are welcome to join.  This field offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities such as direct patient care, administrative help, arts & crafts and special occasions.
