Dr. Harrel E. Tollett, Jr. D.D.S. passed away Thursday, November 19, 2009. “Doc”, as he was known to his patients and friends, practiced dentistry in Muskogee for thirty-three years. He was the son of the late Dr. Harrel and Hattie Scruggs Tollett, Sr.
Doc is survived by his loving wife, Talitha E. Tollett, his children, Karen (Wilbur, Jr.) Fisher and Talitha (Leo) Bray. His four granddaughters, Keela E. Fisher, Kristen J. Fisher, Charisse N. Bray and Cierra C. Bray. His brothers, Dr. Charles A. (Kathy) Tollett, Sr. and Winston E. (Charlene) Tollett, Sr. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Harrel E. Tollett, III and his brother, Dr. Kenneth S. Tollett Sr.
Funeral services for Dr. Tollett will be held on Saturday, November 28th, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Ward Chapel AME Church with Rev. Terry Garrett, officiating. He will be laid to rest with military honors on Monday, November 30th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. Visitation hours will be today from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ward Chapel AME Church. Services are under the direction of Ragsdale Funeral Center.
