Joe" Wright, age 74 of Wagoner, Oklahoma passed this life on Tuesday, November 3rd , 2009 in Muskogee, OK. Joe was born in Jay, Oklahoma on June 20th, 1935 to Floyd and Brunetta Wright. He married his wife Jean (Martin) Wright in Houston, Texas October 30th, 1953. Joe attended Taylor Business School for Mechanical Architectural Engineering in Houston, Texas. His profession was project manager of many construction sites throughout the country. He worked on the IBM Plant in New York and for several high rise building of major hotels and power plants being the top in his field of his profession. Joe was a loving husband and father in so many ways he adored his sisters, all of his extended family members and friends. Joe was a member of the westside Free Will Baptist Church in Checotah, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Brunetta Wright, Step Father Haskell McElroy. Two brothers; Wayne and Weldon Wright, Brother-in-law; Emmett Martin and one Sister-in-law Aleen Baker. Joe is survived by his wife Jean of the home One Daughter; Michele Talbot and husband Ron of Wagoner, Ok, Four Sisters; Lea Ashby and husband Y.B. of Gruetli, TN, Claudene Martin of Houston, TX, Sue Herzik and husband Emil of Weimer, TX and Beverly Leonard and husband James of Montgomery, TX, One sister- in- law Winifred Wright of Rosharon, TX. Several Nieces, Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews.
Memorial Services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 7th . 2009 at the Free Will Baptist Church in Wagoner, OK with Pastor’s Bill Phillips and Lloyd Morris officiating and nephew Jeff Herzik assisting. Funeral Service and memorial arrangements are under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home and Crematory of Wagoner.
