Frankie Clay

1932 - 2009

Funeral services for Frankie Clay, 77, of Webbers Falls, OK, will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 5, 2009 at the First Assembly of God Church with Reverend Kenneth Clay, Reverend Wendell Cox and Reverend Ron Butler officiating. Pallbearers will be Nathan McMahan, Carl McMahan, Eldon McMahan, Jonathan McMahan, Keith Shanks and Jeff Ross. Burial will be in the Floral Haven Cemetery at Broken Arrow under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls, OK.

Mrs. Clay was born October 7, 1932 at Webbers Falls, OK, the daughter of Carl and Okley (Martin) Briley and died Monday November 2, 2009 at the Gore Nursing Center.

Mrs. Clay graduated from Warner High School. She married William Clay on April 17, 1981 at Keefeton, OK. She had worked for Betty Synar Ceramics, Wal-mart and Henry Langston & Sons Produce. She also worked at the voting precinct for the McLain District of Muskogee County.

Mrs. Clay was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, William Buck McMahan and a sister, Nancy Kyzer.

The Clay family would like to thank the Gore Nursing Center and Hometown Hospice for the professional care that Mrs. Clay received.

Mrs. Clay was a member of the First Assembly of God and was a loving mother and wife.

Survivors include her husband, William Clay of the home, her sons, Gordon McMahan of Fort Gibson and Eric McMahan of Warner, her step-daughters, Billie Phillips and husband, Jerry of Sallisaw and Sherrie Godfrey and husband, Terry of Warner; two sisters, Lola Ballinger of Gore and Nola Mendenhall and her husband, George of Sallisaw, brother, Bert Briley of Yuba City, CA, grandchildren, Nathan and Vanessa McMahan, Carl McMahan, Eldon McMahan and Jonathan McMahan, Teri and Bobby Fassold, Tonya and Gustavo Diaz, Melinda and Kevin Hartness, David Corbett, Treasa Fields and Stephanie Phillips, and ten great-grandchildren.
