1915 - 2010


Madeline Landwirth, 94, died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at her home in Muskogee. She was born December 4, 1915 in Celeste, Texas to Ira Boyd Morrow and Grace Elizabeth (Moore) Morrow. Madeline spent her early years in Wagoner before the family moved to Muskogee. She attended Whittier School and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1934. She continued her education at Draughon’s Business School. In 1942, Madeline married Herman Landwirth. She worked 3 1/2 years at Aberdeen, Maryland and Washington, DC. Following World War II, they moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where Herman was in the jewelry business. They relocated to San Antonio, Texas where they lived 20 years before coming to Muskogee in the mid 1970’s. Madeline and her husband were associated with Carl’s Jewelry until the mid 1980’s.

Madeline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Herman Landwirth in 2008; one son, Ronnie Landwirth and one sister, Inette Kimbro. She is survived by one niece, Carol Anderson and her husband, Vic, of N. Richland Hills, TX; one nephew, David Kimbro of Arlington, TX and one grandniece, Ashley Anderson of Ft. Worth, TX.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Temple Beth Ahaba with Rabbi Anna Beroll officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Foster, Rex Reeves, Joel Cousins, Bill Cragg, and Phil Stolper.
