Mildred Imogene Priest

1931 - 2008





Mildred Imogene, Priest, 77 passed from this life on December 19, 2008. She was born on August 26, 1931 to Wes and Dora (Bales) Deckard and was a lifetime resident of Checotah. She enjoyed helping people, spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George Preston Priest, Sr. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, George Priest, Jr., and his wife Susan of New Braunfels, TX, one daughter, Rita DuBuc of Checotah, one sister, Dorothy L. Brown of Checotah; three grandchildren, Amanda DuBuc, Jennifer Ortega and Heather Azbell; six great-grandchildren, Devin DuBuc, Joel DuBuc, Trey Ortega, Antonio Ortega, Karlee Azbell and Wyatt Azbell, and a host of other friends and relatives.

Memorial services for Mildred will be held on Monday, December 22, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Hampton Memorial Chapel with Rev. D. Vann Washington officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Hampton Mortuary, Checotah 918 473-6821.
