Mary Louise Tyler

1931 - 2012

— Mary Louise Tyler, 81, of South Range, Wisconsin and Braggs, Oklahoma, died Saturday, October 27, 2012, at her son’s residence in South Range.

 She was born May 4, 1931 in Braggs, Oklahoma, daughter of Tom and Edna (Hayes) Horn.

 Her work history as an elementary teacher included the states of Oklahoma, Kansas and Virginia. She taught from 1950 to 1987.

 Mary enjoyed gardening and loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and students.

 Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Jack O. Tyler in 1993; son, Mike Tyler; and sister, Johnnie Horn.

 Survivors include her sons, Carl (Bernice) Tyler, South Range, Wisconsin; and Steve Tyler, Ocala, Florida; 8 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy (Betty) Horn, Houston, Texas, Bobbie (Jamie) Horn and Richard (Ruby) Horn, both of Muskogee, Oklahoma; sisters, Bettye Lou Perry, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ann Hopkins, Pryor, Oklahoma, and Shirley Boyd, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Leslie (Pete) Sausville, Lithonia, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

 The visitation will begin at noon until the 1 p.m. service Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Reverend Mark Holmes officiating.
