William Randle Blakemore, son of Dr. J. L. Blakemore and Hattie Randle Blakemore, born November 4, 1928 and died July 22, 2012 in Hereford, Texas.
Bill graduated form Muskogee Central High School and attended the University of Oklahoma, belonging to Kappa Alpha and graduated with a degree in Structural Engineering. Bill’s education was interrupted while he served in the Air Force during The Korean War. After graduating he joined Beasley Construction. In 1968 he married Nancy Cormack in Dallas, Texas and in 1972 moved to Eustace, Texas to the ranch he had always dreamed about. He and Nancy spent 38 happy years there before retiring and moving to Hereford in 2010. Bill was preceded in death by his beloved Nancy in 2011.
He is survived by his sister, Jessie Lee Dodson, Walnut Creek, CA, three nephews, J. Lucian Dodson III (Sharon) Randle (Chilton), Stephen and two grandnieces, Brooke Dodson and Ashley Dodson.
Graveside services will be at Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee, Tuesday, October 16, at 10:30 a.m.
