Quince Wayne Walker

1970-2013

— Quince Wayne Walker of Oktaha was born on May 4, 1970 to Jerry Wayne Walker and Gracia (Pickard) Walker. He passed this life on February 28, 2013. Quince lived his entire life in Oktaha, graduating from Oktaha High School in May of 1988. He married Christrina Culver of Tulsa in May of 2003. They had two children Rebecca Christine Walker and Stone Pitchford Arnold Walker.

Quince worked as a manual machinist at Kline Oil Tools in Tulsa. Quince was an artist and he loved to read and learn something new. He had an excellent memory and had something to contribute to most conversations. Quince loved animals and had a favorite Dachshund named Oscar for a number of years. He loved his family and he always had a hug and kiss for them. He was a devoted son and father.

Quince leaves to cherish his memory his children Rebecca and Stone of the home; his parents Jerry and Gracia Walker, his brother Keith Louis Walker, niece Chesilea Rebecca Walker and fiancé Brett Threet and their son Ryatt Shaver, niece Charidy and Rowdy Russell and their daughters Tinley Grace and Reese Russell, nephew Bryar Dabbs and his fiancé Ashlyn Satterfield. He is also survived by his in-laws Patty and Ray Thompson and their son Aaron Thompson of Tulsa.

Quince had a very large extended family including his aunts Joan Hill, Joyce Stine, Judy and Bob Butler, Jan and Junior Hough, Jeanne and J.R. Bridges all of Oktaha. He is survived by his uncles Tommy and Joan Pickard, Bob and Ellen Lewis and aunts Mary Jo and John DeVasher, Kaye and Tony Kilgore and Eva and James Orman. Quince will also be remembered by many, many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Louis Emery (Buster) and Allie Walker and Harold and Lavinia Pickard, his uncles Gene Hill, Bill Fredrick and Harold Pickard, Jr. and cousins Brad Hill, Dennis Williams, Brett Williams and Brent (Hooter) Williams.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Oktaha High School Gymnasium with Reverend Phil Pack officiating. Burial will follow at Oktaha City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Lyn Curran, Brent Eller, Richard Swaringim, Ronnie Walker, Rowdy Russell and John Thomas.
