David Lynn Parker

1954 - 2013

— David Lynn Parker, 58, of Midlothian, Texas, succumbed to cancer on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Community Hospice in Burleson, surrounded by family and friends.  

Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on June 4, 1954 to David and Patricia Parker, he lived most of his life in Maywood, California.  

David was a passionate man who enjoyed helping people.  He worked as a Mortician and Funeral Director in Dallas, Texas for several years, until he had to give up the career that he loved due to his illness.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Venus.  

In his spare time, David enjoyed watching and playing sports. He played football in college.  He also enjoyed movies, reading and several different card games.  

David was extremely loving and proud of his wife and children.  

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Cindy (Bunker) Parker; his two sons David (Crystal) Parker and Mathew Newton; his daughter Dallas Parker; his three stepsons, James (Edie) Marsh, Shane Marsh and Jeremy Marsh; numerous other family members and loving friends.

Graveside service and interment will be 3PM Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the Middleton Chapel Cemetery in Oktaha, OK. www.bozemitchellmckibbin.com.
