Wanda L. Smart

1928-2013

Wanda L. Smart, 84, a resident of Warner died Friday January 18, 2013 in Warner, OK. She was born on July 12, 1928 in Clyde, AR to William and Beulah Childress. Wanda attended school at Cane Hill, AR and after school she met Herbert Smart in Lincoln, AR. Later they were married and moved to Muskogee where they raised their family. She was very involved and active in her church at Bethany Presbyterian Church. Wanda taught Sunday School and was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Herbert. Wanda is survived by her daughters Lavonne Griesa and her husband Brian of Grand Rapids, MI and Deanna White and her husband Ray of Warner, OK; grandchildren Patrick Bonner, Chrissie Overby, Katy Smith, Renee Griesa and Emily Griesa; great grandchildren Alyssa Bonner, Brittany Bonner, J.J. Bonner, Carol Overby and Billy Overby; four great-great grandchildren; brother John Childress and his wife Evelyn of Dallas, OR.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday January 24, 2013 at Bethany Presbyterian Church with Dr. Thea Mckee officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ray White, Bill Overby and Billy Overby. Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Bradley Funeral Service.
