Wanda Faye Haney

1927 - 2012

With her daughter & son-in-law by her side, Wanda Faye Haney, 85, of Muskogee was welcomed into her eternal home Friday, December 21, 2012. She was born August 9, 1927 in Merkel TX, the daughter of Grant & Annie Lee (Martin) Riggan.

Faye grew up in Big Spring, TX and lived most of her adult life in Midland, TX, where she worked and retired from Amaco Oil Co. (now B. P. oil Co). She moved to Muskogee OK in 1995 to be near her family. Faye lived independently and enjoyed working in her yard until three years ago when she became a resident at Magnolia Gardens Living Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she attended until her poor health would not allow her to attend.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George Riggan. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Patty George & husband, Ronnie of Muskogee, OK; grandson, Kyle George & wife, Mary Ann and great grandson, Brandon of Bedford, TX; grandson, Michael Trevino & wife, Lisa Marie and great-great grandson Ciaran, of Houston, TX; granddaughter, Kelli Burns & husband Greg and granddaughters, Taylor and Madison, of Toledo, OH; grandson, Josh George of Tulsa, OK; her sister, Alva Gene Bishop of Pleasant Plains, AR, nephew, Donnie Feathers & wife, Beverly of Patoka, IN; niece, Linda McDougal & husband, Freddie, of Pleasant Plains, AR, and numerous great nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Wanda Faye Haney at 10:00 a. m., Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in the Bradley Belltower Chapel with Brother Bill Crow officiating. Interment will be in Big Springs, TX. Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Magnolia Gardens, Solara, and Good Shepherd Hospice for their attentive and loving care of their mother and grandmother and to First Baptist Church staff, church family and many friends for their love and prayers shown to the family during this difficult time.

The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service with the arrangements.
