Funeral services for Will Short, 74, of Webbers Falls, OK, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Millsap Funeral Service Chapel in Webbers Falls with Reverend Wendell Cox officiating. Burial will be in Cramp Cemetery near Porum, OK.
Will was born May 12, 1938 the son of Jess and Marie (French) Short and died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Muskogee. Will was a lifelong resident of the area. He married Alma McGlamery in Fort Smith, AR. Prior to retirement, Will worked as an electrician and belonged to the I.B.E.W. Union.
Survivors include his wife, Alma of the home; son, Carl Payne of Shawnee; step-children, Dian Nicholson of Porum, LaDonna Kay Daugherty of Sperry, Burl Franklin Nicholson of Phoenix; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Calvin Short of Porum; sisters, Zelma Berry of Porum, Louise Buckmaster of Muskogee; and sister-in-law, Evalina Short of Porum. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Doylene Hood; two brothers, John and Kelly Short.
