Margurett Taylor

1925 - 2013

— Margurett Taylor, of Mounds, Oklahoma, went home to be with her Jesus on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Margurett was a loving wife, mother and Granny, and devoted Christian.  Her hobbies included fishing, crocheting and spending a lot of time with her husband and Great-Grandchildren:  Conner, Reagan, Daemen, Mercy and Emalyn.

She was born in Dustin, Oklahoma on September 6, 1925 to parents James Edward and Lola May Lee Gressett. She married the love of her life HB Taylor on June 27, 1944.  She graduated from Graham High School in 1945. After retiring at the age of 52 from family business and moving to the lake, she and her husband, HB, surrendered their lives to missions and served with L.A.M.B. building churches in Louisiana. In May 2010 she and HB moved to Mounds to be closer to family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers: Raymond and Neil and three sisters: Alice, Lorene, and Edna. She is lovingly survived by her husband HB Taylor, son, Eddie Taylor and wife Tina, daughter Lucille and husband Bernard Beckman, Four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephew, and extended family as well as her beloved friends. Memorial service will be March 9th Saturday 2:00 pm at Mounds First Baptist Church.

In honoring Mrs. Taylor, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in her honor to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
