Eveleen Graves

1941- 2013

— Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and faithful Friend, arrived in Oktaha, Oklahoma on July 11, 1941, the daughter from the proud parents, Jesse Stephens and Estella Thomas.  

She received her education in the public school system, attending Historic Manual Training High School.

On August 5, 1967, she married Otis Graves, Jr., and their union was blessed with two daughters;  Yolanda Lynn and Danielle.

They later moved to Piqua, Ohio, where she worked as a machine operator for Miami Industries for 5 years until her retirement. She then relocated  back to Rentiesville, Oklahoma.  She gave her life to the Lord in 2002.

On February 19, 2013, the Lord saw that Eveleen had fought a good fight and extended his hand to welcome her into Heaven's Eternal Home. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Eula McDonald.

She leaves to celebrate her life, her husband, Otis Graves, Jr.; two daughters, Yolanda Lynn Wright, Oktaha, Oklahoma and Danielle Graves, Muskogee, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, NaShadame Wright, Muskogee, Cedric Wright, Piqua, Ohio and Kennedy Graves, Muskogee; four brothers, Robert Irvin, Muskogee, Terry L. Thomas, Dayton, Ohio, JoNathan Edwards, Troy, Ohio and Lawrence Edwards, Muskogee;  and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends.

The Hour of Remembrance will be on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church of Summit.  Rev. Charles N. Moore, Pastor, will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Community Cemetery at Oktaha.  You may visit Mrs. Graves as she slumbers at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., on Friday from 10 AM until 6 PM.  Friends may express condolences and sign the online register at www.biglowfunerals.com.
