Billy Wayne Taylor

1929 - 2013

— Billy Wayne Taylor, 83, of Muskogee, was born to Loak E. and Gladys Taylor, on April 6, 1929 on Stonehill Mountain in Ozark, AR. He went to be with the Lord, January 25, 2013.

He grew up in Braggs, OK, where he graduated in 1948. He played baseball and basketball and won all state in basketball in 1948.

He loved fishing, camping, hunting, bowling and golf. He was also a great story teller.

He married the love of his life, Betty King Kymes, December 31, 1953. They made their home in Muskogee, OK, where they raised 2 children. He retired from Corning Glass after 35 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother, Gordon Ray and grandson, Benjamin Kymes.

BiIly is survived by his wife, Betty of 59 years. Son, Mark Kymes (Marty), daughter, Desiree Rinker, grandchildren, Matthew (Holly), Mason and Madison Kymes, great-grandchildren, Mallory and Matilda Kymes. Sister, Margie Hutchens, brother, John H. Taylor( Kathryn). Many nieces, newphews, cousins and friends.

Serving as pallbearers, Matthew Kymes, Mason Kymes, Madison Kymes, Dan’l Kizzia, Charlie Ayers and Johnny Taylor.

Serving as pallbearers will be Allen King, Allen Day, Martin Day, John Taylor, Rufus (Rip) Smith, Wayne Booth and Gerald Brown.

He was of the Penecostal Faith. All who knew him, loved him. We wish to thank Community Home Health and Hometown Hospice for their loving care of our loved one and the support to the rest of the family.

Services to be held at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home, Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Greehnill Cemetery.
