Lucille (Cille) Carter

1950 -2013

— Lucille (Cille) Carter was born September 1, 1950 to Freddie & Blanche (Howell) Belton, Sr. She was the fourth of eleven children.

Lucille grew up in Boynton, Oklahoma where she attended Boynton Public Schools. Upon reaching adulthood, she met and married Edward Carter. To that union, they were blessed with a son, Michael. Lucille worked for many years at Haskell Manor Nursing Center, Haskell, OK; as a CNA. Her hobbies included reading, cooking, playing Skip-Bo, working crossword puzzles, and taking care of family and friends. She attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Boynton, Oklahoma.

She leaves behind a lifetime of love and happiness for all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Blanche Belton, one brother, Bernard Belton, one sister, Joan Pouncil and one niece, Evangelyn Pouncil.

Lucille leaves to cherish her memories a son, Michael (Niece) Carter, Kansas City, MO; a granddaughter, Deandria Carter, Muskogee, OK; a grandson, Anthony Carter, Detroit, MI; seven brothers, Bobby (Joan) Belton, Tulsa, OK; Freddie (Belinda) Belton, Oklahoma City, OK; Jerry (Georgian) Belton, Dwight Belton, and David Belton, all of Boynton, OK; Jeffrey (Sheryl) Tucker, Okmulgee, OK; Earl (Debbie) Tucker III, Muskogee, OK; two sisters, Carolyn (Anthony) Lee, Boynton, OK; Debra (Robert) Allen, Okmulgee, OK; three great-grandchildren, a special friend, Joan Mason, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Home Going Celebration will be conducted Saturday, March 23, 2013, 2:00 p.m., at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 125 N. First Street, Boynton, OK; with Rev. Anthony Folks, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery, Boynton, OK. Visitation will be Friday 1 to 7 p.m.
