Dewey Lee Elkins

1926 - 2012

— Dewey Lee Elkins was born in Stillwell, OK on September 2, 1926, daughter of the late Iva and Dewey Wheeler. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the age of 86 years. 

Dewey was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Faye Hiner, Glenda Kay Roberts, Aylene Osterloh, and Jack Wheeler. 

She is survived by her children, Larry Caughman of Ft. Gibson, Judy Polk of Broussard, LA, Donna Jackson of Muskogee, OK, Chris Caughman and wife Beckie of Broken Arrow, OK and Toni Corona and husband Angél of Broken Arrow, OK. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, April Hathcoat, Kenny Kilpatrick, Keith, Kilpatrick, Michael Kilpatrick, Susan Armond, Iva Jackson, Kristin Caughman, Katherine Caughman, Eric Caughman, Michael Caughman, Ronny Clark, Joey Clark, Ciara Corona, David Corona and Antony Corona. Dewey is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.

After retiring Dewey worked as a foster grandparent in Muskogee at Tony Goetz Elementary. 

Services will be Tuesday, December 18 at 2:00 PM at Green Hill Cemetery in Muskogee, OK.
