Funeral services for Sybil Mae Shaw, 88, of Webbers Falls, OK, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Sallisaw City Cemetery in Sallisaw, OK, with Pastor Roger West officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Brennan Slocum, Lawrence Burchett, Seth Burchett, William Shaw, and Rick Mullins Jr. Services and burial will be under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls.
Mrs. Shaw was born May 31, 1924 at Webbers Falls the daughter of Calvin Edward Smithson and Beckie (Coppinger) Smithson and died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Countryside Estates Nursing Home in Warner.
Mrs. Shaw attended school at Webbers Falls and married Odis Cebern Shawn in 1942 at Sallisaw, OK.
He preceded her in death on January 20, 2000. They had made their home at Webbers Falls since 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and sisters.
Survivors include her five children, Annabeth, Sarah, Sharon, Cebern, and Margaret; fifteen grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Countryside Estates, especially Katie Shanks for the excellent care given to Mrs. Shaw. Thanks also to Hope Hospice of Checotah.
