Juanita Conley Olmstead

1911 - 2012

— Juanita Conley Olmstead passed away on November 27, 2011 in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 101. She was born on August 24, 1911 in Wainwright, Oklahoma to Fredrick and Evelyn Conley.

Juanita grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She graduated from Central High School in Muskogee.

Juanita married Luther Olmstead January 3rd, 1941 in Texas. They were happily married for 58 years. Juanita was a member of York Street Christian Church where she was very active with many service and teaching projects. She enjoyed reading, cooking for her family, playing card games and traveling. She spent a great deal of time with her grandchildren and later her great grandchildren and they gave her a great deal of joy. She was able to spend the last 8 years living with her daughter in Indiana.

Juanita is survived by her daughter Lynda Olmstead Bottorff and her husband Thomas Bottorff of Indianapolis, Indiana; Her grandchildren Michelle Olmstead Mills and her husband Mark of Tulsa and Keith Olmstead and his wife Kendra of Muskogee; Her great grandchildren Morgan, Taylor, Cierra, Jackson, Hailey and Audrey; and her niece Alyce Sue Meeh and her husband Jack of Oklahoma City.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Luther Olmstead, her son Michael Olmstead, her brother Odell Conley, and her niece Carol Ann Tyree.

A visitation will be held at Bradley Funeral Home at 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. on Sunday December 2nd. A funeral service will be held at Bradley Belltower chapel  in Muskogee at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 3rd. Burial will follow the funeral at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to York Street Christian Church at 1125 South York Street Muskogee, Oklahoma 74403.

The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral and Cremation Service of Muskogee with the arrangements.
