Bill Davis

1929 - 2013

— Bill Davis, 83, of Muskogee Oklahoma, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 28, 2013.  Bill was born on May 15, 1929 in Bluejacket, OK to William and Ruby Davis.  

Bill served in the United States Army for three years after high school.  Upon discharge, Bill married the love of his life, Margaret Taylor, on March 6, 1953. In 1968, Bill and Margaret moved to Muskogee, OK where they raised their son and daughter. Bill was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for over 37 years until his retirement. Bill was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Muskogee for over 35 years.

 He was also involved with the Masonic Lodge and the Telephone Pioneers of America. Bill enjoyed fishing, gardening, carpentry, and serving others.

Bill was preceded in death, by his wife, Margaret and parents, William and Ruby Davis. He is survived by his son, Mike Davis and wife Cindy; daughter, Beverly Shepherd and husband Kirk, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 10:30 Friday at Foster-Petering Funeral Home in Muskogee.
