Dave William Matthews, 47, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013. He was born January 5, 1965 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Rosevelt Matthews and Nora Jean Wright Matthews. Dave had previously worked in the manufacturing and fabrication industries. He later became a funeral director serving in the San Antonio, TX area.
Dave was preceded in death by his father, Rosevelt Matthews and his grandmother, Norean McBride.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Matthews, of the home; his daughter, Ashley Gossett and husband Nate; his granddaughter, Leah Gossett; his mother, Nora Matthews; his brother, Darren Matthews and brother-in-law, Jeff Denno; his sister, Michelle Matthews; and his brother, Matt Matthews; his aunts, Shirley Miller, Pat Foster and husband, Kevin; his uncle, Mike Miller and wife Amy; and lots of cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Sinclair officiating.
