Dellamae Cook

1923 - 2013

— Funeral services for Dellamae Cook, 89, of Fort Gibson, OK will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Ft. Gibson with the Reverend Danny Gandara and Reverend Don Landers officiating. Pallbearers will be Rick Thompson, Danny Whitworth, Charles Woods, John Harrison, Babe Ross, Lonnie Rowan, and Jim Kizza. Burial will be in Starnes Cemetery under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Fort Gibson.

Mrs. Cook was born May 5, 1923 in Braggs, OK the daughter Walter F. Walden and Glades (Reaves) Walden and died January 4, 2013 in Muskogee, OK. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 58 years, John W. “J.W.” Cook whom she married on May 6, 1942. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church where she sang in the Choir and was a member of the “Rejoice” Sunday School Class.

She is survived by Ronald Dean and Tudy Cook of Ft. Gibson, Jerry “Butch” and Carol Cook of Ft. Gibson, Linda Gail and Orval Blunt II of Collinsville, OK. Six grandchildren, Steven Dean Cook, Gary Ronald Cook, Lisa Carol Rowe, Jonathan Earl Cook, Orval Wayne “Trey” Blunt III, and Mariah Dalee Blunt. Eleven great- grandchildren, Tyler Dean Cook, Steven Zane Cook, Kacy Wayne Cook, Kevin Dale Cook, Kennedy Jay Cook, Jonathan Lee Cook, Sarai Rachell Bullet, Derek Matthew Bullet, Jaxon Cole Blunt, Macie Mae Blunt, and Rylee Madison Rowe.

She is also survived by two sisters, Elba Lee Landers of Ft. Gibson and Doris Faye Tipton of Kansas City; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Jean Moore of Ft. Gibson, Lou Cook of Ft. Gibson, and Louise Walden of Muskogee.
