Darrell Wayne “Douga” Roberts

1959 - 2013

— Darrell Wayne “Douga” Roberts, 53, died Friday, March 15, 2013 in Muskogee, OK. He was a lifelong resident of Muskogee and attended Muskogee High School, was employed at Georgia-Pacific, and was a member of Timothy Baptist Church. His favorite hobby was car racing for which he won many titles and awards. He also enjoyed motorcycling, working on cars, taking care of his family, and most of all……playing with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Lela Roberts; brother, Dale Roberts; brother-in-law, Larry Casteel; and father-in-law, James Harrison.

He is survived by his wife, Susan, of the home; daughters, Robyn Roberts, Jenny Murry and husband, Justin, Jordan Dill and husband, Waylon; son, Aaron Roberts and wife, Leandra; daughter, Sarah Roberts; loving grandsons, Blake, Daniel, Kaden, Jay, Bradyn, Raylon, Gabriel, another grandson due in June; a one-and-only granddaughter, Kailynn Nicole; sisters, Charlotte Watkins, Yvonne Luckie, Susan Casteel; sister-in-law, Karen Stauss and husband, Jim; and mother-in-law, Janie Harrison.

Services for Darrell will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Timothy Baptist Church with Reverend Kelly Payne officiating. Pallbearers include Ted Vickery, Larry Maxon, Mark Gann, Danny Graham, Sam Harper, and Olan “Rawhide” Rowan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Stauss, Waylon Dill, Brian Isom, Billy Chapman, John Marsdan, Roy Rhodes, Brian Robertson, and Lewis Watkins. Burial will be in Agnew Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
